Gal said that Facebook has put 50 crore mobile numbers up for sale in Angat through the telegram bot used by users. Gal said Facebook had looted users’ account databases based on the fact that anyone could view the mobile phones of Facebook users in all countries.
A security study has revealed that Facebook users’ phone numbers are being put up for sale on Telegram. The study found that phone numbers belonging to Facebook IDs were collected and sold by a cybercriminal organization using a Telegram automated bot.
He said the security crime was first reported in 2020 and 53.3 crore users from different countries had been hijacked. He also shared some screenshots to this extent. The bot is expected to remain active until January 2021.
